Anthony D’Esposito began his career as an NYPD Detective. Over the course of a decade, Anthony made more than 600 arrests involving cases of murder, shooting, assault, and narcotics. D’Esposito also served as Chief of the Island Park Fire Department when Superstorm Sandy devastated the region. In 2016, Anthony was appointed as City Councilman in the Long Island town of Hempstead. In 2017 voters elected him to continue his work on the council and then re-elected him overwhelmingly in 2021. On the council, Anthony provided steady leadership during the COVID pandemic and took decisive action to combat the heroin crisis tearing through the region. Anthony is widely recognized for his philanthropic endeavors, which include raising awareness for autism, serving Marine Corps Toys for Tots, and providing assistance for families of fallen police officers.
